Our firm’s in-house technical capabilities and our staff’s aggregate experience enable us to be proficient while maintaining a competitive edge in our field. While our projects are appealing aesthetically, they have tended to be built within our client’s budgets and with minimal complications during construction. Over the past 30 years, we have earned a reputation for trend-setting design balanced by an understanding of the impact of design on the economics of housing and commercial development. David English and Fred Pucciano have dedicated their careers to design for the housing needs of the private sector and are recognized leaders in the Southeast.
Beginning with the award winning Riverwalk community in Roswell, GA (voted one of America’s best by Builder Magazine in 1985), the firm has received numerous awards for their designs; Bristol Park in Alpharetta, GA received a Merit Award from Builder Magazine and 1995 Pillars of the Industry Award. Our firm was selected to design Centennial Place, winner of the 2000 Smart Growth Award from Urban Land Institute and Atlanta District Council; Centennial Place is a Hope VI redevelopment and replaced the oldest public housing development in the United States. Heritage Place in Atlanta received the 1998 ACI Award of Excellence for Mid-rise Buildings. The Villages of Devinshire in Alpharetta, GA received the 1999 Pillars of the Industry Award. Aylesbury Farms, north of Atlanta, garnered the 1996 Pillars of the Industry Awards for the Best Luxury Multifamily Development in the country. Parksprings, a senior’s community in Stone Mountain, Georgia was presented the Platinum Award by NAHB Seniors Housing Council in 2005. At the 2011 Multi-Family Executive Awards Luncheon, our New Housing at Ft. Carson received the Merit Award for Best Military Housing Project of the year. Parc at Grandview Multi-Family Housing in Birmingham, AL received the Association of Builders and Contractors 2012 Award of Excellence, this project also received Birmingham Apartment Association 2012 Beautification Award 1st place 0-5 years category.
Pucciano & English, Inc. was selected to design the Army’s first military family housing privatization project at Fort Carson, CO in 1999. We have subsequently designed three additional phases of housing at FT Carson, along with military family homes at Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas, FT Eustis, VA, FT Leonard Wood, MO, and Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX.
Our firm has significant experience in the design of Affordable Housing. We have designed State Tax Credit Projects in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina and Colorado. Pucciano & English, Inc. has also designed dozens of HUD 221 D4 Market Rate Projects in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Louisiana, Colorado and Texas.
Pucciano & English is committed to Environmentally Friendly Design. Through our membership in U.S. Green Building Counsel, we keep ourselves informed of the new technologies, and design concepts to aid us as designers to be sensitive to our buildings’ short and long term effects on our environment and to inform our clients of the possible benefits of these technologies.
